The Finance Council assists the Pastor in the administration of parish goods in various ways, including: 

• Overseeing the preparation of an annual budget for the parish
• Ensuring that complete and accurate bookkeeping and accounting records are maintained  in keeping with diocesan guidelines
• Reviewing and approving an Annual Financial Report for the parish 
• Preparing and publishing an annual Financial Statement to the parish 
• Monitoring surplus parish funds to insure that they are nvested safely and at an acceptable financial return
• Developing a financial plan for any new construction, major repairs, renovations, purchase of equipment, and repayment of parish debt. 
• Providing the Pastor and Parish Council written quarterly reports stating the financial status of the parish.
