Our parish booth at Summerfest was a great success! We met many new people and had some great conversations, sharing information about our parish and the Good News of God's Love! And, our St. Benedict and St. Elizabeth icons were a huge hit. As Fr. Lewis often reminds us, we are all "saints in the making". Check out some photos from the event on our Photo Album page!

As Fr. Lewis noted in his July 14th bulletin reflection, "a large number of our youth and youth from other parishes joined us for Vacation Bible School. Our children learned through games and crafts, puppet shows, singing and faith lessons to discover, respect, protect, serve and celebrate life: their own and that of all others. To see and participate in their joy was most certainly “Spirit and Life.” Heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all the volunteers from the parish and beyond who, under the direction of Pam & Jill King, provided an unforgettable encounter with Christ for our children." Visit our Photo Albums page for pictures from VBS.

Last weekend was our first Super Sunday of the program year. Parish Pastoral Assistant, Lori Parks, gave a presentation based on this year's Catechetical Sunday theme, "Enlisting Witnesses for Christ". Among other things, the presentation highlighted the alarming trend of the "Nones", a growing section of the population comprised mostly of young people who no longer identify as Catholic or even as Christian.
