Our parish will host it's annual Forty Hours Celebration on October 23, 24 and 25. This year, Fr. Markellos will offer reflections on the Eucharist. The celebration will also include opportunities for confession and adoration along with a closing Mass to include a Eucharistic procession and Benediction on October 25 followed by a dinner in the Parish Hall. A luncheon honoring all parishioners age 65+ will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Daily Mass will be celebrated at 10:30a.m. that morning at St. Benedict Church followed by the luncheon in the Parish Hall. All parishioners age 65+ along with their spouse or a guest are invited. Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Antonio is accepting financial donations to provide emergency supplies and other assistance to those affected by the devastating floods in that region this past week. You also can donate through Catholic Charities USA - www.catholiccharitiesusa.org (100% of your donations will go to Texas flood assistance). San Antonio Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, M.Sp.S., visited the affected area, offering comfort to victims and families. Pope Leo XIV prayed for the victims of the flood on Sunday, July 6.

Sunday, June 22 is the Feast of Corpus Christi and we will have our annual Corpus Christi Procession at St. Benedict Church. Taking the Blessed Sacrament around the block of the church after the 8 AM Mass, we will stop at three outdoor altars where will we have a Eucharistic Gospel proclaimed to us and Solemn Benediction. After the Mass & Procession, everyone is invited to the Hall for a delicious free breakfast compliments of the Ladies’ Sodality. Please plan to attend this beautiful and time-honored parish tradition.

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th a new monument in remembrance of all babies lost through miscarriage, stillbirth and abortion was blessed at Holy Cross Cemetery. This project was organized by the Caroline County Chapter of Maryland Right to Life. The cost of the monument was covered by generous donations from Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro along with donations from many parishioners.
